 Sanjay Rakhade MD\, PhD is a physician-scientist and currently serves as E
 xecutive Medical Director at Alexion Astra Zeneca Rare Disease Unit in Bos
 ton MA. Sanjay is a neurologist by training and oversees late-stage clinic
 al development studies in the neuromuscular therapeutic area at Alexion. H
 e has previously worked on clinical trials in Duchenne MD\, Multiple Scler
 osis\, and lysosomal storage disorders during his previous roles at Sarept
 a Therapeutics and Sanofi Genzyme. Prior to his roles in the biopharmaceut
 ical industry\, Sanjay served on the faculty of the Department of Neurolog
 y at Boston Childrens and Brigham &amp\; Womens Hospital at Harvard Medica
 l School. Sanjay received his MD from Grant Medical College\, University o
 f Bombay and his PhD from Wayne State University\, Michigan. He did his me
 dical training at Children&rsquo\;s Hospital of Michigan and Detroit Medic
 al Center. He completed his fellowship in Department of Neurology at Bosto
 n Childrens Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His academic research wor
 k has been published in leading neurology journals including Nature Review
