Marketing Specialist – Visual and Graphic Design
Position Summary
The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) is seeking a talented and driven Specialist of Visual and Graphic Design to support our dynamic Marketing Department. Established in 1952 and incorporated in 1954, MGFA is the only nationwide organization solely dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Myasthenia Gravis and related disorders. Our stakeholders include MG patients, caregivers, family members, scientists, clinicians, volunteers, donors, sponsors, fundraisers, and industry partners. For decades, MGFA has been the premier resource for MG education and information, a leader in clinical and research advancements, and a trusted voice among key stakeholder groups.
This is a remote position where the right candidate will be integral to our fast-paced, growth-oriented team. The Specialist of Visual and Graphic Design will contribute to all facets of visual design and branding strategy, working on the design, layout, and visual consistency for digital and print marketing collateral, multi-page layouts on magazines and reports, presentations, fundraising appeals, and onsite event experience pieces. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment with MGFA’s mission, marketing objectives, and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and collaborate on all aspects of visual/graphic design and branding, including conceptualization, development, and execution:
- Design and produce high-quality digital and print assets such as brochures, reports, email campaigns, event materials, and social media content.
- Refine brand identity across all digital and physical materials, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
- Manage the ideation, planning, and implementation of creative projects from concept to delivery, coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee deadline-driven projects, ensuring timely and quality-focused delivery of all assets.

Daily Focus Areas
- Manage creative print and digital projects, collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to meet objectives.
- Design and produce graphical publications for digital and print, including multi-page reports, promotional materials, and presentations.
- Develop graphics and imagery for website banners, email campaigns, social media posts, and webpages to effectively represent the MG community.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, ideally with a focus on graphic and visual design and marketing.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in graphic design.

- Remote Position: Candidates must have a reliable home office setup with internet and phone access; MGFA provides necessary equipment.
- Travel: Approximately 10% of travel required for events and in-person activities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be required for event support.
