About the MGFA Scientific Session
The MGFA Scientific Session brings together researchers, neurologists, early career investigators, and other physicians to discuss the newest science driving us toward a world without MG.

Oral Presentations: 8:00 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.
Poster Session*: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

*Posters will be available to view all day, with investigators available to discuss their work between 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
The MGFA Scientific Session takes place during the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) Annual Meeting. All attendees and presenters must register for the AANEM Annual Meeting via AANEM’s website. There is no separate registration required for the Scientific Session.

Abstract Submission Information
Abstracts are no longer being accepted for the 2026 session. Please visit the MGFA’s website at a later date for information about submissions for the 2027 session.
The MGFA Scientific Session provides neurologists and other physicians an informal opportunity to discuss their basic or clinical research work related to the neuromuscular junction. Researchers are encouraged to share their work regarding myasthenia gravis or other disorders of the neuromuscular junction.
Below are a few helpful details before submitting your abstract:
- Anyone is welcome to submit an abstract.
- Abstract authors do not need to be affiliated with MGFA or sponsored by anyone affiliated with MGFA.
- The quality of the abstract will take precedent when determining its acceptance.
- Abstract poster presentations are encouraged – they are generally works in progress.
Abstracts are submitted through the AANEM website. If you do not already have a username and account at aanem.org, you will need to create one to log in and submit your abstract.
MGFA aligns with the AANEM on the following guidelines and policies regarding abstracts for this event.
