Healthcare Professional’s Conference
To educate health care professionals, including neurologists and non-neurologists, regarding clinical presentations and the evaluation of patients with acquired neuromuscular junction disorders (including myasthenia gravis and Lambert Eaton myasthenic syndrome). Armed with this information, health care providers can better diagnosis and manage the myasthenic patient in both acute and ambulatory care settings, as well as minimize disease morbidity.

Patients Conference
To provide an overview of acquired autoimmune myasthenia gravis to affected patients, their family and care providers in order to educate them about patient self-advocacy regarding appropriate treatment and management by their health care professionals, as well as within the system of medicine and research. In addition, this conference provides an opportunity for networking among patients for community support and formal advocacy. Patients with myasthenia gravis, their family members, friends, and care providers, as well as allied health professionals including social workers, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech therapists will benefit from this course.
