Transportation Information

From the Airport

Trains depart from Schiphol Airport to both of The Hague’s main train stations – Den Haag HS and Den Haag Centraal. The fare is approximately €10 and takes 30 – 45 minutes. The NS (national rail service) has a helpful trip planner.

Trains use a contactless payment system compatible with Visa, Mastercard, ApplePay, and GooglePay. You can also buy an OV chip card to use during your stay. The card works on the train, bus, tram, and metro.

Taxis and ride shares are available, and the drive takes 35-50 minutes. The cost typically ranges from €65 to €100, depending on the time of day and availability.

Taxis and ride shares are also available from both of The Hague’s main train stations to take you to your hotel, or you can use the tram.

Getting Around The Hague

The Hague is well served by trams, trains, buses, bikes, ride shares, and taxis. Most hotels are clustered around the central district, about a 15-20 minute tram ride or a 20-30 minute walk from the Postillion Convention Center and the train station.

Use the HTM website to help plan your route using public transportation.

Trams and busses also use a contactless payment system; tap when you board. More information can be found on the OV Pay website. Use the OV Pay app if you need to collect receipts for your trips.

Information about wheelchair and mobility aid accessibility can be found on the HTM website
